White Clay, also known as Kaolin powder, is a very gentle but effective cleanser which is suitable for all skin types. It has a gentle exfoliating action that helps to keep pores clean and open and to keep skin looking fresh and firm. It may be used as a simple cleanser or as a facial mask depending on your skin’s condition.
Rich in silica, Amelia Moss Kaolin powder is non-aggressive and can be used multiple times a day to remove impurities and excess oil, without causing the skin to dry out. Regular use helps the skin to remain clean and soft and using the clay can also help to improve the circulation of blood and lymph.
Kaolin powder is ideal for sensitive skin due to its natural, vegan and organic ingredients.
White Clay is a gentle, chemical-free cleanser that is safe for use on all types of skin. It is particularly appropriate for people with dry or sensitive skin who find ordinary soaps and gels irritating. Kaolin powder helps to remove impurities from the surface of the skin and has a mildly stimulating effect on circulation. Its gentle action means it does not dry the skin and can safely be used several times a day if necessary.
Kaolin powder is an effective and reliable cleanser when mixed with water to form a paste. However, if the clay is mixed with oils, its cleansing effects add to the effects of the oil - whether it helps to moisturise, nourish, protect or promote rapid healing.
Kaolin powder can help to combat excess oil therefore, for those who suffer from congested and oily skin this may just be the solution!
Mix a small amount of clay with water to form a creamy paste. Spread evenly over the face, being careful to avoid the eyes. Leave for about 10 minutes until the clay starts to dry, then wash off thoroughly. For longer applications, cover the mask with a thin damp cloth, or use a misting spray.
Caution: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact does occur, rinse thoroughly with cold water. Keep out of the reach of children. Discontinue use if redness or irritation occurs.
Our White Clay is made in the UK from naturally occurring Kaolinite. Production is a simple process of mining, sifting and drying.
